About Gregory Ball
I was born and raised in Victoria, BC, Canada. I was encouraged by both my parents (Bill and Beth) to pursue art as a means of expressing both my feelings and thoughts about the world around me.

I graduated from the Camosun College Art program in 1984. In 1986 I received an Emily Carr College of Art and Design Diploma in Painting and Drawing.

After working as a fine artist in Toronto from 1987 to 1989, I was accepted into the Banff Centre's Artist in Residence program. There I met and was influenced by Greg Curnoe who was Banff's summer Studio Head.

After Banff, I moved to Montreal, Quebec and embarked on a Graduate Degree in Printmaking at Concordia University.

After graduating in 1994, I moved back to the west coast and now have a regular position in the Visual Art Department at Malaspina University College in Nanaimo, B.C.
